We spoke with educator and organizer Fatima Iqbal-Zubair, a candidate for CA State Assembly in AD-65. In 2020, she ran for Assembly for the first time, and was notably endorsed by Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

Brooks talked about the trauma that police terror and unjust systems inflict on people and communities, and why she believes so-called radical policies like defunding the police are in reality rational.
We spoke with Yasmine Pomeroy, a candidate for Los Angeles City Council in District 3. Pomeroy, an educator with experience as a part of the California Teachers Association State Council, is running on a platform that includes issues of public safety, housing, and climate action.
